Founded in 1985 by Coluche, a French stage comedian and actor, The Restos Du Coeur is one of the largest and highest ranking charities in France.

Their aim is to help and provide voluntary assistance to deprived people, particularly in terms of food, through access to free meals, and by participating in their social and economic integration, as well as in any action against poverty in all its forms. 

37 years after its founding, over 142 million meals have been distributed by The Restos Du Coeur. In 2020, more than 101 million euros were raised thanks to the help of 73,000 volunteers and their annual concert “Les Enfoirés”, which generated an audience of 9.2 million viewers.
